Airline Customer Service Agent
Customer Service Agent must possess the ability to provide quality Customer Service to customers wishing to travel and utilize the baggage/cargo service at the airport location.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers to ensure success
- Handle all aspects of ticketing and checking in of customers by operating a computerized point-of-sale system, boarding, baggage service and reservations
- Handle all cash and credit card transactions regarding the purchase/refund of tickets
- Resolve customer complaints in a satisfactory manner
- Handle situations in a timely manner which may include oversales, delayed or canceled flights, and any issues regarding lost or damaged luggage
- Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments pertaining to procedures, and enter into TAC’s information system as required
- Comply with all regulatory, legal, and Safety Management System requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Airline Customer Service Agents must meet the following requirements:
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid state drivers license
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the Airline Customer Service Agent is:
- Required to stand; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear
- Required to lift and move items up to 70 pounds or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift items of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
- Required to maintain a well groomed appearance and meet uniform appearance standards
Environmental Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the Airline Customer Service Agent is occasionally exposed to:
- Wet and/or humid conditions
- Moving mechanical parts
- High, precarious places
- Fumes or airborne particles
- Extreme cold and extreme heat
- Moderate noise level
