The Human Resources Manager serves in a generalist capacity and is responsible for supporting all Human Resource functions in a multi-state organization, with a focus in Utah. This position is located in Salt Lake City and will support and partner with leadership and associates across the United States. Will also be a part of a dynamic, partner focused HR team located in Dallas, Texas.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting-related services in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, month-end reporting, and budgeting.
  • Comfortable working with management and executive level employees at multiple organizations to align HR with company vision and goals

  • Partners with leadership team with recruiting functions including sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates

  • Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Communicates these to senior leadership

  • Administer Bi-Weekly Payroll Processing for employees located in Utah

  • Facilitates new hire onboarding & orientation

  • Collaborates with Regional Safety Manager to handle Worker’s Compensation compliance and reporting of any work-related incidents in Utah

  • Responsible for OSHA Log maintenance

  • Utah Anti-Drug & Alcohol Misuse Program Administrator for non-DOT roles

  • Other duties as needed

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods

  • Ability to operate computer and type effectively

  • Ability to write legibly

  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds

Other Requirements

  • Must possess a valid US driver’s license

  • Ability to pass drug screen

  • Ability to travel up to 25% nationally

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to quickly learn organizations HRIS and talent management systems


  • 5+ years experience serving in an HR Manager role

  • 3+ recent years experience in recruiting

  • Practical admin experience with UltiPro highly preferred


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field

Preferred Licenses & Certifications

  • Senior/Professional Human Resources (SPHR/SHRM-SCP)
